Versiunea beta a acestui joc de bătăi vine doar pe Xbox360 și doar dacă mai cumpărați cu 800 pe Microsoft Points aventura arcade Wolf of the Battlefield™: Commando 3, dar varianta finală vine și pe Playstation 3. Ce hoți cei de la Capcom dar dacă stăm sa ne gândim mai bine, această strategie de a vinde la pachet cu un joc nu foarte anticipat de jucători un viitor mega-hit nu este nouă deloc! Konami a mai aplicat aceiași strategie cu discul demo de la Metal Gear Solid 2 Sons of the Patriots pe care l-au inclus în pachet cu ZOE si care a dus un joc aproape necunoscut in vârful clasamentelor de vânzări. Marea surpriză a fost ca repesctivul ZOE nu a fost deloc un joc de mâna a doua, ba din contră! Acum, stați puțin, nu zic că acest Wolf of the Battlefield este un joc nașpa. Sunt doar surprins de strategia celor de la Capcom de a arunca osul de la Street Fighter la un joc așa de mic. Ma gândeam că ar fi putut băga un key cu un joc retail mai slab ca să-i crească vânzările. Dar și aici este o mică problemă! Capcom nu are jocuri slabe la retail. Revenind la SSFIITHDR, jocul este practic identic la gameplay cu cel original, numai efectele grafice fiind schimbate și aduse la un aspect plăcut in HD. Comunicatul de presă (în limba Engleză)

London — March 13, 2008 — Capcom®, a leading worldwide developer and publisher of video games, today announced that subscribers to Xbox LIVE® Gold for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft® will be able to access the Beta test for the eagerly anticipated Super Street Fighter® II Turbo HD Remix when they purchase Wolf of the Battlefield™: Commando 3. This will be the first time that a Beta test has been run across the Xbox LIVE network for a digitally distributed Xbox LIVE Arcade game. Wolf of the Battlefield: Commando 3 will be available this spring for 800 Microsoft® points, with the Beta version of Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix releasing shortly thereafter. The final version of Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix will be available for Xbox LIVE Arcade and PlayStation®Network later this year.

            When an Xbox LIVE Gold subscriber purchases Wolf of the Battlefield: Commando 3, they will also be able to download the Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix Beta code when it is released shortly afterwards through Xbox LIVE Marketplace. This unique Beta version of Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix will allow players to select from one of two Street Fighter characters, either Ryu or Ken, and battle online. This Beta test will help Capcom stress-test the network code underlying the incredible online features that power the multiplayer modes of the game. 

            Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix online modes include Player or “Quarter” Match, Ranked Match, and Tournament Mode. The Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix Beta will run for approximately eight weeks. The Capcom arcade classic receives a whole new look as Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix comes to both the PLAYSTATION Network and Xbox LIVE this fall. Capcom will maintain the integrity of the popular game by utilising the original game code while upgrading the graphics with new artwork and high resolution 1080p images.  Again, all of the art, from character animation to stage backgrounds, will be completely redrawn by Udon Entertainment, the company responsible for the US Street Fighter series of comics. Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix will include both online and offline competition for one or two players.

The full version of Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix will feature:

·       All new 1080p high-definition art for Street Fighter characters and backgrounds created by Udon Entertainment, creators of the Street Fighter comic books.

·       Features all 17 of the original Super Street Fighter® II Turbo characters including Ryu, Guile, M. Bison and Akuma.

·       New optional “Rebalanced” Mode: massive changes across the board to all Street Fighter characters as created and tested by some the world’s top-ranked professional Street Fighter players.

·       One to two player head-to-head play either offline or online:

o   Single player vs. CPU.

o   Player vs. player over the same console.

o   Player vs. player online.

·       Training mode helps fighters hone their skills.

·       Improved network code for the best possible online fighting game experience.

·       Numerous online features:

o   In-game voice chatting between players.

o   Matchmaking flexibility through multiple options.

o   Personal and friends statistics tracking.

o   Quarter Match Mode – this spectator-based system allows online competitors (two competitors and up to four spectators) to use a “virtual quarter” to buy into heated two-player matches.

o   Comprehensive worldwide rankings and leaderboards by character - tracks overall wins and losses, number of throws, perfects, highest combos and more.

·       Widescreen support with option to select classic 4:3 mode for SF purists.

·       Choose from either classic Super Street Fighter II Turbo music or optional newly remixed tunes.

Option to play as the original Super Street Fighter II Turbo 2D sprites for traditionalists.
